NGOs, Governments, Academia & Competition Organisers

NGOs, Governments and Academia can all be part of the BIGCrowd ecosystem and can use the platform to further their aims in multiple ways.

NGOs can qualify as Big Impact Game-changers so they might also raise funds, awareness and source and interact with like minded collaborators. They can connect with other BIG - adding value where they are best able.

Think about tackling the global sanitation challenge for example (SDG No 6). An NGO or Academic Institution can find BIGs with amazing solutions on the platform directly - or they can do so by working with organisers of other incentive competitions such as NESTA,100&Change or the X Prize.

Or they can work with BIGCrowd to create a dedicated incentive competition.

On the other hand, Governments (through their departments such as DFID in the UK or USAID in the US) can find and support BIGs on the platform addressing priority issues, enabling aid budgets to deliver more for less - and going a long way to help redefine the domestic and overseas development agendas.
